The rumored Yakuza Remastered Collection, which brings together Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 in one package, is coming soon. A listing on the PlayStation Store seems to have accidentally outed the compilation before it’s quite ready, and a Sega executive has now confirmed it.
As of the time of writing, an icon for the collection can be found in the “New Games” subsection of the PlayStation Store. It isn’t available to search, and clicking on the icon prompts an error message reading, “The content cannot be selected at this time.” That all suggested that the listing jumped the gun a little early, before a formal announcement. Gamescom is currently underway, so it may be announced there. (Sony also might correct the error to remove the listing until it’s ready.)
Sega director of production Sam Mullen confirmed the news on Twitter. The localization has been repolished and the games include all of their content. Digital releases will come as they’re ready, followed by a packaged version once all of the games have been completed. Pre-orders begin today, and Yakuza 3 is already available. Yakuza 4 will follow on October 29, and Yakuza 5 sometime next February.

The three Yakuza games were remastered separately in Japan, but fans in the west have hoped for a compilation that brings them all together. Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are remakes of the first two games, while Yakuza 0 serves as a stage-setting prequel. Yakuza 6 is the most recent and concludes the main story of the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio may not be done with the world of Yakuza, though. The recent game Judgment takes place in the same fictionalized setting, and Sega has teased another seemingly Yakuza-related announcement for August 29.
