#TSRUpdatez: #Roommates, looks like #RKelly’s legal troubles are far from over. He was previously charged in February with aggravated sexual abuse involving four victims–at least three of whom were between the ages of 13 and 17.
Now he’s been hit with 11 more sexual assault-related charges in Chicago by the Cook County State’s Attorney office, according to @hollywoodreporter.
All the latest 11 charges are felonies, which include aggravated sexual assault via force and threats in addition to other charges. If convicted of these new charges, R. Kelly would be looking at six to 30 years in prison.
Three of the new counts accuse him of sexually abusing a victim between the ages of 13 and 16, the Chicago Tribune reports. It wasn’t immediately clear if this is a new victim or one of the four victims he was charged with sexually abusing back in February.
Kelly is expected to head back to court next week to face the new charges.
“We’ll see what it is, and we’ll deal with it accordingly,” Kelly’s attorney, Steven Greenberg, told the Chicago Tribune on Thursday.
The Cook County State’s Attorney office did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
Back in March, R. Kelly spoke publicly on the new wave of allegations since the release of the “Surviving R. Kelly” docuseries. You can watch his interview with Gayle King here.
We will keep you posted with any updates on this story, Roommates.
