Pakistani Legend Mohammad Atif Aslam was born on 12 March 1983 in Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Pakistan. In Lahore, He began his studies in kindergarten at Kimberley Hall School.

He came to Rawalpindi where he continued his studies at St. Paul’s Cambridge School, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, In the year 1991. Then in 1995, Atif returned back to Lahore city where he continued his studies in Divisional Public School. Atif joined Punjab Institute of Computer Science (PICS) to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BCS).

Early Career:

In the beginning, Mohammad Atif Aslam played cricket as a fast bowler and then after some years, he got involved in music. Encouraged by his friends, he began to sing in public in the course of his days at PICS, where he met talented young composer and guitarist, Goher Mumtaz. After performing at their institute and at different restaurants, they finally made a band called ‘Jal’. Working together, then they recorded the song “Aadat” with the support of Salman Albert. He wrote Aadat song at the age of 16. He admired Abida Parveen and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Though, while on tour, personal complications between Atif and Gohar led to a spontaneous and indefinite break, in which Atif launched his solo career, however, Gohar continued with the band name ‘Jal’.

He got his first step forward in Bollywood when director Mahesh Bhatt called Atif to seek his consent to include “Woh Lamhey” in the music of his new movie, Zeher (2005). Especially the remix song version became a hit. He also worked in Pakistani Movie named ‘Bol’.

Following ‘Jal Pari’ song, he released two more popular solo albums, Doorie and Meri Kahani. Atif recorded many other songs for Bollywood that were also successful.

His further most famous songs are Tere Bin main yun, Hum kis gali ja rahe hain, Juda hoke bhi, Dil Harey, Maula, Main Rang Sharabaton ka, Tere Sang Yara, O re piya, Pheli Nazar Mein, Tu janne na, Kuch is tarah, Pheli Dafa, Musafir, Jeene Laga Hoon, Zindagi Araha hon, Jeena Jeena, Main agar, Tere Liye, Be intehaan, Tere bin and many more.
